Formerly known as Glor na Daire Academy of Irish Dance.....

Legacy Irish Dance Academy at Corpus Christi is the only competitive Irish dance school in the Coastal Bend area. We provide lessons in both traditional and modern Irish dance for all ages and levels - from beginners to international competitors and from preschoolers to adults. Our dancers learn traditional competitive solo and team dancing like that seen in the movie JIG, as well as modern performance pieces from shows like and RIVERDANCE & LORD OF THE DANCE. Our students get the opportunity to regularly perform on stage at local performances and international competitions throughout the year.

Legacy is under the direction of Abbey Pride Wood TCRG, Brent Wood TCRG, Patty Darrah TCRG ADCRG and Sara Busti. The academy is comprised of 5 locations in what is considered the Southern Region of Irish Dance in North America, with schools in Savannah, GA, Charleston, SC, Augusta, GA, Jacksonville, FL, and Corpus Christi, TX.

Brent Wood, TCRG, began dancing in 1988 & won 3 Eastern Regional Oireachtas Championships, a National Championship, & competed in 5 World Championships. He helped found the Drake School in 1990, & eventually became a certified member of the Irish Dancing Teachers Association as licensed instructor & Director of the Drake School Carolinas.
